Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia Pledge to Continue Reforms in Energy Sector

Algiers – Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia on Sunday reaffirmed will to pursue reforms in the energy sector and make the most of opportunities that bilateral and multilateral cooperation with the European Union has to offer.

In a declaration adopted by the ministerial council on the project of the gradual integration of the electricity markets of the three countries in the EU’s electricity market, energy ministers underlined that ‘the creation of a free-trade area between the Mediterranean countries and the European Union will in the long run constitute a bridge between the countries of the southern shore of the Mediterranean and the northern shore of the Mediterranean basin.’…read more
